Status update: Android on OpenWrt

Here’s a quick update on my progress with getting Android running as a set of packages on top of OpenWrt:

The GUI is running, some applications work, but there are still some limitations:

Currently eglibc has to be used, uclibc threading is broken (will be fixed by integrating Android’s threading into uClibc
HTTPS crashes the browser

OpenWrt on FOSDEM ‘09

Progress on ath5k

Quick update on ath5k: Finally made some progress on the transmit power issue with newer RF designs of Atheros 11a/b/g hardware.
